The Reasons Why Friends Don't Comment Other Blogs ?

As we discussed about this topic in class, there are many reasons why one does not comment on other blogs. From my opinion, the reason is that we have no need to put comment. When I read my friends' blogs, I just yes, understand, so-so and leave it. I think that we have not to comment anything. There are many other reasons that my friends told in class.

Firstly, when some of friends read other blogs, if they think in the same way with blog owner, they will not comment. On the other hand, if they think opposite with their friends, they will not comment too since they are afraid of argument.

Secondly, they wait for the first person to comment as if there are no first comment, they will not be dare to give opinion.

Thirdly, they have no time. As I mostly knew my friends before studying this class. Therefore, I knew that some of them are management committee and some of them take many difficult courses in this semester. Conclusively, they may have no time to comment, just read through the blog.

My 'User' Names .

Today I would like to mention about my 'user' names. In each social media account, I use quite different usernames. However, all usernames comes from my name, surname and nickname.

1st username is on Facebook account
My Facebook account is named 'Pyp Akearkaravichit'.
Pyp is from my old name 'Preeyaporn'. In high school, some friends called me 'P-Y-P' or 'Peep' which stands for my full name 'Preeyaporn'. Hence, I use 'pyp' to be my username of Facebook account because many friends know me in this name.
Akearkaravichit is from my surname. All members in my family use this surname in their Facebook account too such as Knp Akearkaravichit and Ntw Akearkaravichit is my sisters' Facebook account usernames.

2nd username is on Gmail account
My Gmail username is pypploy.p@gmail.com
Pyp, as I mentioned in the first username, is from my old full name which is 'Preeyaporn'. I used this Gmail for many years and I used this Gmail to register many accounts, apply for many member cards and also apply for jobs. Therefore, I decided not to change my e-mail although I have already changed my name to be 'Thawita'.
Ploy is my nickname even though only some people called me this name. Because many many girls are named 'Ploy' so since I was in primary school, most of my friends called me other names instead of 'Ploy' such Pree which is from Preeyaporn. However, when I entered the university, many friends start calling me 'Ploy', except my closed friends. Therefore, I use 'Ploy' to be one part of my e-mail username.
Lastly, '.p' is not from anything since pypploy has already been used by someone. Therefore, I have to make it different by add '.p'. Nevertheless, 'p' is my favorite alphabet since it is from the first alphabet of my name and nickname.

3rd username in on Instagram account
My instagram account is 'ploythawita'.
Actually, in the past, I firstly set my Instagram account names 'pyppreeyaporn' which is from my old name. But after I changed name to be Thawita, only account that I changed username is Instagram. I do not know the reason too. The reason may be because it is my favorite social media that I always use to follow and keep updating information. However, my present username is from my nickname and my present name.

My friend's strange habit

What I gonna tell later is... the habit that my friend does every time she enters the room at the dorm. I think that this habit is the strange one since I have never see who behaves like my friend.
Firstly, I want to introduce her for all of you to know for a little bit. She is my friend from high school and we decide to continue studying in Bachelor's degree in Assumption university together. We learn almost every subject together because we are in the same major and the same minor. We also spend time having lunch and dinner together. Not only what I already said but she is also my roommate in my dorm. Therefore, every behavior is noticed by me.
Next, I gonna tell her strange habit which may not too strange for someone, but for me her habit is quite strange. She always washes her face and brushes her teeth every time she comes back to dorm. The first thing that she does when entering the dorm is going straightforward to the restroom and then wash her face and brush her teeth. She does this like a routine even if sometimes that we did not eat anything for all of  the day or we are going to have dinner together. There are so many times that I asked her why you had to do like this, she told that doing like this make her more confident.
Lastly, I gonna post her photo for all of you to know. I know that all of you is familiar with her.

My GPA Life Cycle

As you know that the product life cycle is an important concept in marketing. It describes the stages a product goes through from when it was first thought of until it finally is removed from the market.

The main stages of product life cycle are introduction, growth, maturity and decline.
(product life cycle model)
Next, I use the product life cycle theory to apply with my GPA. Product life cycle is an essential concept for marketing. In each stage of product life cycle, marketing team uses different way to promote the company's products.
Introduction – researching, developing and then launching the product
Growth  – when sales are increasing at their fastest rate
Maturity – sales are near their highest, but the rate of growth is slowing down, e.g. new competitors in market or saturation
Decline – final stage of the cycle, when sales begin to fall
Therefore, from my GPA life cycle, I can apply knowledge from this model by assuming that I am marketing person. If my GPA is in the stage of growth, I will know that I should focus on study in this level because it provides the best result. Moreover, I will put more effort to support my growth or to make it continuously grow. If my GPA is in the maturity stage, I will maintain the level of concentration on study as long as possible to maintain the high GPA. Lastly, if my GPA is in the decline stage, I will put a lot of effort on the next semester and try my best to produce better GPA.
(my grade summary from AU Spark)
However, my GPA is always on decline stage. No matter how much I put effort on study, my GPA is still lower and lower. The reasons may be because of the participation or the presentation score in class. As I am a very shy person so I am very excited when I have the presentation or I have to speak in front of the class so my presentation score is always deducted. I always try to improve myself in this area but it does not work. Another reason is that the nearer to graduate, the more difficult of the subjects I have to take. Therefore, I am not much serious about my GPA like before. In other words, I still try my best to improve my GPA but do not put too much expectation.

My Last Three Smartphones

After I started using mobile phone, I changed mobile phones so many times. Most of the changes are caused by my forgetfulness and my awkwardness.

My lastest smartphone is Iphone5s. I have used this Iphone for more than 2 years which is the longest ever after I started using mobile phone. There are a lot of memories kept in this Iphone not only in terms of photos but also in terms of message I talked to others. Therefore, if one day my Iphone is lost, I may greatly regret from the loss.

For my next-to-last smartphone is Samsung S5. I used this Samsung for only two or three months. And, because of my clumsiness, my Samsung falled onto the floor and the monitor was broken. After that situation, I used it for about 2 months and changed to use Iphone. Now, my Samsung belongs to my mom since she brought Samsung to change or fix monitor at the shop and after it was fixed, my mom liked it very much due to its big screen. Hence, she asked to use my Samsung.

For my third last smart phone is Blackberry. I got it free from my father's friend after I lost another Blackberry in my birthday. I could not remember how long I used it. What I could remember was that I used in when I was grade 11 and I might use until I was grade 12. I stopped using my Blackberry because at that time Blackberry became obsolete and now I forgot where my Blackberry was.

How do I Practice Green Computing

Before showing how I practice green computing, I would firstly explain the meaning of green computing first. Green computing, also called green technology, is the environmentally responsible use of computers and related resources.

There are many ways that I practice green computing. Firstly, I always use notebook computer rather than the desktop computer. Using notebook computer is saving more energy than the desktop one. The second way is telecommuting. I always talk and consult about work through vdo conference since I used MSN until using Line application now. The benefits of using telecommuting are reducing time, transportation cost and also gas emission due to the transportation. Lastly, according to many subjects, I have ever studied, which required students to do research. My friends and I always created online questionnaire and sent to my friends. Benefits are not only convenience but reducing the use of paper. Moreover, when I discussed about the work with my friends, we always use soft file rather than using paper to print the work.

Dropped an iPhone in Water?

Here’s How to Save It from Water Damage :

6 Things To-Do Immediately if iPhone has Water Contact

Want to save your iPhone? Drop everything and do this first, before putting it in rice:
  1. Remove from water as soon as humanly possible (obvious, right? But seriously, seconds can matter here so move quick)
  2. Turn the iPhone off immediately by holding down the power button until it shuts off
  3. Remove any case or enclosure right away since they can trap in moisture, screen protectors are fine to leave on unless there’s an obvious water bubble
  4. Dry out the iPhone as best as you can using cloth (t-shirt, socks, whatever is readably available) or an absorbent material. Wipe down the screen, sides, and back. Pay special attention to the power button, volume buttons, mute switch, speakers and microphones, and the audio output jack, try and get all visible moisture soaked up
  5. Use a Q-Tip if possible to try and soak up extra water from the audio output jack and in small crevices. If you’re out and about or have no q-tips handy, a little stick or sharp pencil poking through a t-shirt or cotton material can work too
  6. Disconnect any headphones, ports, chargers, USB cables, or accessories immediately
Now with all visible water removed, you’re ready to stuff the iPhone into a rice bag.

Put the iPhone Into a Sealed Bag Full of Rice

Here are the basic requirements:
  • A zip-lock bag or similar that is air tight
  • Rice, any generic type, ideally not “enriched” (more on that in a second)
  • Patience for at least 36 hours
iPhone in a bag of rice to prevent water damage
Fill a zipper locked bag fairly full of rice so that the entire iPhone will be covered like in the picture below, then place the iPhone into the bag and seal it shut with some air in the bag.

Any type of rice works, but try to avoid enriched rice, the reason being that whatever enriches it leaves a lot of white residual powder in the bag and it will also get into the ports and buttons on the iPhone. Enriched rice does still work (it’s actually what I learned), but knowing now that it leaves a lot of mystery white powder gunked up in places, I’ll probably go buy a bag of normal rice for any potential future water-meets-iPhone encounters. The patience part is the hardest, and generally the longer you wait the better the likely outcome because you want all water inside the device to be completely absorbed by the rice before trying to power it on again. I left my iPhone in the air-tight rice bag for around 36 hours, but there’s no harm in leaving it in for 48 hours. Any less may work but it also could be inadequate, so therefore longer is better.

Success! Saved from Water Damage

My ERP Presentation

According to my ERP presentation on last Tuesday, the topic that I chose was about the benefits of mobile ERP. Before I chose this topic, I first studied about the meaning of ERP and some of the interesting topics. Finally, I found out this topic that was about 'Mobile ERP' or cloud-based ERP system. I chose this topic since nowadays mobile technology become the important factor of everyone's daily life. People always use electronic devices or smart phone to communicate to each other instead of call or face-to-face communication like in the past. Therefore, mobile should be one of the devices that implemented this ERP program. Moreover, after I further studied about the benefits of implementing mobile ERP, it is very useful for many companies, especially companies that employ remote workforce, to check inventory, stay connect to business when managers have to travel and also to create customer satisfaction.

However, after I presented this topic, I found out that there were many topics that were interesting. Furthermore, the way I presented was not professional since I misunderstood that students had to present like public speaking. But, we could actually prepare slide for presentation. Therefore,  for the next presentation I will prepare slide in order to make it more interesting.

My (IT) Plan B

Since I am very forgetful person, I forget almost everything including memory in the past, lol. Sometimes when my friends tell me something that we did together in the past, I realized that I have already forgotten it all. Moreover, I ever forgot my flash drive which has many projects of many subjects inside in my classroom, but at that time my teacher kept it for me. I am very impressed with her kindness. Therefore, since I studied at school until now, when I have to responsible for a big project, I have to save file in many places that are 2 flash drives, e-mail to my e-email and also e-mail to my friends if that project is a group work in order to prevent that I may forget my flash drive somewhere.

Management of Digital (Intangible) Assets in My Family

My family is a small family consist of 8 family members, mom, dad, me and my 4 sisters and my grandma. My grandma is the only one who doesn't use any electronic devices, well, except for her television lol. Everyone has their own account of Line, Twitter, Facebook and other social media applications.

We mostly talk through Line, if we're not together. Even though we got just 7 members that use the Line application, we have 3 different groups on Line! First one is called "Family Teeruk", which means "my dear family", this group got all 7 members and this the one we usually talk through. The second one is "5 P-nong", which means "5sisters", this one got all members except for my dad and this one is mostly for my mom to complain about everything (but mostly she nags about us). The third one is called "Ake-Jai's daughter, which Ake-Jai are my dad's and mom's nicknames and all of that means what it means, this group just got 4 members, the four eldest sisters, and we mostly talk about shopping and about where to hang-out (and also some secrets that our parents shouldn't know).

We also share some interesting posts on Facebook by tagging each other. Now, my mom and my dad just start promoting their business on Facebook because they think that Facebook is now one of the most popular applications in Thailand and now Thai people is kind of obsess with Facebook so they think that promoting our business through Facebook might be a good idea and it actually a really good idea! We got almost 15k likes on the main page but moreover we got more than 100k likes on several posts!. We provide some information on Facebook and our staffs also answer all the questions our clients left as the comments. Those are all the ways we manage our digital assets.

My Most Memorable (Digital) Experience

From my (digital) experience, there are both best memorable and worst memorable experiences that I think I will never forget them and always still in my mind and my eyes.

Firstly, I start with the worst one. I saw this video from new feeds on Facebook. This video was about an Australian woman whose bungee jumping cord snapped, plunging her head-first into crocodile-infested waters in Africa's Zambezi River and she survived miraculously. After I have seen this video, I was deeply affected as I am the one who love the challenge thing and the height also. Moreover, bungee jumping is the one that I want to play at least one time in my life. Therefore, after watching this video I'm very careful doing something and also afraid of the challenge thing as it is like something impresses vividly upon my mind by the sight.

Lastly, I end with my best memorable digital experience that happened since I was high-school students. My close friend introduced one guy to me. His name is 'Por', my friend's neighbor. I talked to him through MSN by never seeing his face. I was very happy every time I talked to him as he acted like my friend, my consultant and my everything. Every memory about him is in MSN. We talked to each other everyday until one day he decided to go to learn at Dubai. After that, he has never contacted me and until now I have never seen his face. It may be like a novel but I have never forgotten him. Anyway, he was one of my best memories.

My Mom & Technology

'After my mom got smartphone, everything has changed', I believe that everybody thinks like me.

There are many advantages of this change.
1st, she never blames me about spending most of time on phone because she also does it. :'P

2nd, we get closer to each other by using some applications on smart phone which are Line and Facebook. We always share everything to 'family teeruk’ , which is our Line group that includes all members in my family. Whenever she wants to contact me or want me to do something for her, she has no need to lose money calling to me. Just text to me through Line application is enough. Additionally, she has all my friends' Line contact. If she can’t contact me, she can easily contact my friends.

3rd, she can transfer money to me easily by using K-mobile banking application. Moreover, she knows how to check her balance in bank by applying 'SMS kayhun bok' or any convenient application that can tell how much money is withdrawn or available. It's sometimes really good that my mom is one of the technology lovers but when she knows too much, it may not be good for me. :'D

4th, she is always the first one who updates the Line free stickers and shows them to me that she has new stickers. It is the funniest thing.

5th, she always shares interesting posts on her Facebook page including posts about my dad's work. In other words, she helps my dad work by sharing posts.

Unfortunately, there are some disadvantages too.

1st, she can easily check where I am by just only telling me that ‘Ploy, please share location where you are now.’. Sometimes I have to go back home or dorm very quickly because I am afraid of this word ‘Please share your location’.

2nd, it is quite dangerous that my mom uses her smartphone while she drives.
I sometimes cannot warn her because I also use too. XD

3rd, she sometimes spends most of her time texting on her smartphone instead of talking to other family members.

Lastly, I wanna say 'thank you' to technology which is something impossible that can make two people who live in different place (dorm&home) can contact each other like we live together.
